Sport At Grasby All Saints
We are delighted to have been awarded the Gold Sportsmark for 2017.
We are very proud of our sporting achievements at Grasby All Saints; we have a strong sporting ethos that encourages participation, enjoyment and determination in everything we do.
We celebrate all our successes and encourage children to perform to their highest potential. We have pupils who perform at county level in a variety of sports.
Sports Premium Funding 2017-2018
Building on our very high levels of participation, and success, in sporting activities, we are using our Sports Premium funding of £16,680 in 2017-2018 for the following:
Maintaining our Gold School Games award.
To introduce a wider range of out of school clubs to widen children's experiences to enable sustained participation.
Supporting inter-school competition - we will take 2 or 3 teams to each tournament and increase our participation rates for younger children in conjunction with the Wolds School Sports Partnership. Introduce additionnal provision swimming beyond 25 m for Years 5 and 6.
To develop our school field and playground provision through our secured Lottery Grant.
Increase participation in competitive sport to further increase and sustain pupils' attainment in PE.
Professional development for teaching staff using the Wolds Partnership staff to develop our teaching programme to an even higher standard and ensure good rates of progress in all areas of PE.
Employing tennis, football, dance and multisports coaching to further develop children's abilities and links with local clubs.
To establish a sports council to promote leadership and further develop intra-school competitions throughout the year.
Improving playtime provision to encourage active playtimes for all children.
